This year has been a great challenge to say the least!
However, I have met so many inspiring people and have experienced so many great things for which I am thankful for.
One of my biggest learning this year probably would have to be knowing when to speak up, and building the confidence to do that. I have learnt that we all SHOULD be acting in ways to promote our clients' health and wellbeing, therefore we should speak up if we feel their needs are not being appropriately. Speaking up if I don't feel comfortable with a situation, speaking up if I feel I have made a mistake, speaking up if someone else has made a mistake, speaking up if I feel like I need further support, etc... Of course doing things with respect and in a professional manner.
The other thing that I have learnt this year is the importance of reflection. It just does wonders in terms of debriefing on your own, building confidence and allowing yourself to take each experience as a learning opportunity.
